The Thrall Volunteer Fire Department has been serving the citizens of Thrall, Texas since November 10, 1969. It was formed because the old school burned down, since there was no fire department close enough to get to it in time. The founding members' names can be found on the wall on the north side of the Fireman's Hall. Thrall is in Central Texas, just west of Thorndale and east of Taylor, approximately 45 minutes from Round Rock, in Williamson County. Our Firehouse and Meeting Hall is located on Main Street, Thrall, just south of the Thrall Police Station and north of the Thrall Post Office. We meet the first Monday of each month for our business meeting and the third Monday of each month for training or drills, at 1900 hours at the Meeting Hall.
